It’s been said that style is everywhere you look, and the mother-daughter duo Judy and Jane Aldridge, bloggers behind Atlantis Home and Sea of Shoes, have taken that maxim to heart. The Aldridge Trench, designed in collaboration with Gryphon designer Aimee Cho, was born of a fusion of Tokyo punk fashion, snapshots of the fearless Amelia Earhart, and the post-apocalyptic drama of Mad Max. Rendered in Gryphon’s signature wrinkled twill, it’s an atypical take on the classic (if sometimes commonplace) trench: think bell sleeves, asymmetrical cuffs, military-influenced brass buttons, and a functional leather pouch.
Now not only does this familial twosome share the contents of their well-stuffed closets, they share a praise-worthy design credit to boot.
