Back in New York City to see her little sis on Broadway over the holidays, Jessica Simpson heads out with her mama Tina Simpson on December 23. After leaving Ashlee’s apartment with her hair in a messy ponytail, Jess presumably headed for a blow out before her midtown business meeting, and possibly adding some fresh extensions – her locks look a lot longer than they did when she headed out! Jess got in the festive holiday spirit with a plaid zip up jacket (love the sassy side zip on Meghan Fabulous’ Pistols Jacket in Peacock), A-line skirt (try Tt Collection’s Carrie Skirt in Black), black sheer stockings and knee high boots with suede stirrup detailing on the sides (try Farylrobin’s very similar Harlow Knee High Boot in Grey minus the stirrup). Subtle silver drop earrings and a croc clutch (just like Elaine Turner’s Bella Croc Patent in Black) complete her pre-holiday ensemble. IMO, this plaid ‘fit looks like a schoolgirl costume gone wrong, but you can’t deny her complexion is pretty much flawless without makeup (excuse the harsh flash causing her face to look oily on the right). Seriously, I’m really impressed! I have to guess this is another stint for her new reality show, The Price of Beauty. Jess recently posted a video on her Twitter account shot by BFF Ken Paves as she tried out the alternative practice of “ear candling.” Looks pretty unpleasant if you ask me! My curiosity about this show started off mediocre at best, but after chronicling her travels from Thailand to Morocco to Mumbai, it sounds like she’s got a well rounded take on what it truly means to be beautiful. After all the harsh criticism she’s endured this year, it’s fantastic to see Jess confident enough to brave the streets of NYC without a stitch of foundation. You go girl!
