Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen stepped out on the red carpet for the NYC premiere of the film Nine on December 15, and each girl went for a completely different look than the other. Before I dissect each look one by one, I have to say, I much prefer their ensembles here over when they attended the Museum Of Modern Art’s film benefit ‘A Tribute To Tim Burton’ (although Ash did wear the same yellow satin Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps!). I will admit, however, that I am relieved to see that her subtle blue and purple highlights were only a phase. Now let’s start with Mary-Kate. MK paired a black maxi dress (like Tt Collection’s Christophe Double Layer Gown in Black) under a multicolored harlequin cropped jacket, and added on a pair of platform black boots and an oversized bright blue Maia N clutch (check out Laura Matthews Designs’ 3 Ring Clutch in Blue). She finished her look with a variety of beaded bangles (Sisco Family Jewels’ Red Czech Wrap Bracelet is similar) and a gold watch with a black band. I must say, I love when MK does her makeup like this; a slightly smokey eye with a light pink lip. Perfection. Now, let’s move on to Ashley. She started with the aforementioned Manolos, along with high waisted silk trousers (get the look with Alice + Olivia’s Arthur Pant in Black), a voluminous feather jacket, and her trusty black Kelly bag with gold hardware. Okay readers, which of the two looks do you like the best (if either)? I’m dying to know!
